
Jina DuVernay is the Collections Development Archivist for African American Collections at Emory University’s Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library. DuVernay serves on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Professional Development Committee for Emory Libraries. She has also served on the Executive Board of the Black Caucus American Library Association. She holds a Master’s in Library and Information Science and a Master’s in Liberal Arts. DuVernay’s research interests include community outreach and engagement, diversity in libraries, preservation of archival materials regarding people of color, and the recruitment and retention of marginalized groups in librarianship.
