
Jina DuVernay is the Program Director of Engagement and African American Collections at the Atlanta University Center’s Robert W. Woodruff Library. DuVernay serves and has served on a number of committees including the Executive Board of the Black Caucus American Library Association, the Coretta Scott King Book Awards, and the Joint Council of Librarians of Color. She holds a Master’s in Library and Information Science and a Master’s in Liberal Arts. DuVernay’s research interests include community outreach and engagement, diversity in libraries, preservation of archival materials related to people of color, and the recruitment and retention of marginalized groups in librarianship.
